About Me
I was born and raised in Popayán, Colombia. I graduated high school as class valedictorian and moved to the US for college when I was 16.
I studied physics, pre-engineering and economics at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD. I later transferred to Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, where I studied economics and mathematics and completed a computer science minor equivalent.
During college, I acquired experience with data analysis, applied statistics, statistical research and coding through classes, on-campus jobs, internships, TA positions and independent projects.
I joined Deutsche Bank's New York City office after graduating from Hamilton and later relocated to Berlin. During my four years at the bank, I held multiple data-related positions and gained hands-on experience with data analytics and big data.
I am currently a data science graduate student at Harvard University's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and this past summer I interned at Microsoft's Cloud and Artificial Intelligence team, where I built forecasts for Azure cloud compute demand.
I am a very logical, analytical person, and I am passionate about using data to make sense of the world and solve real-life problems. I have a strong interest in data science, machine learning and their practical applications.
